HWI, A member of Calderys recently welcomed seven students participating in the Construction Apprentice Ready Program through the Missouri Works Initiative to our Fulton, Missouri facility.

During their visit, the students toured our manufacturing operations, learned more about refractory manufacturing, and explored career opportunities in the skilled trades. Experiences like this help connect the next generation of skilled professionals with real-world career opportunities while strengthening the local workforce.

The visit also highlights HWI’s continued commitment to regional manufacturing in Missouri. Our Missouri1 operations combine decades of refractory manufacturing expertise with modern technology, expanded production capabilities and a skilled workforce. Together, these capabilities allow us to manufacture innovative refractory solutions while creating opportunities and investing in the communities where we operate.

We appreciate Missouri Works Initiative for bringing the group to Fulton and for its ongoing work to prepare the next generation of skilled trades professionals. HWI is proud to support workforce development and continue to build a strong manufacturing future in Missouri.
