Carol Jackson Receives 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award from JA
Local Students from Ambridge, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Sto-Rox and Woodland Hills high schools helped Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania honor the accomplishments of four Pittsburgh business and community leaders and one organization at the 32nd annual Spirit of Enterprise Awards Ceremony on January 14. Our very own Carol Jackson received the 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award. The mission of JA’s Spirit of Enterprise dinner and award ceremony is to recognize and honor those individuals and organizations from Western Pennsylvania who have made, or are positioned to make outstanding contributions to the business, social and cultural assets of this area.
Junior Achievement (JA) of Western Pennsylvania’s volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster workforce development, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students in our community to dream big and reach their potential. JA helps students realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. JA’s unique, volunteer delivered programs, show them all of the possibilities that lay before them.
HarbisonWalker International Chairman and CEO Carol Jackson, among four other honorees, will join more than 150 individuals and organizations recognized at this event since 1988, including Andrew Carnegie, Henry Heinz, Fred Rogers.
