CEO Transition

Aug 09, 2017 / Press Releases

After much thoughtful consideration and a fulfilling 38-year career, Stephen Delo, HWI chairman and chief executive officer, made his decision to retire at the end of June. With a succession plan in place, the HWI Board of Directors elected Carol R. Jackson as HWI’s next chairman and chief executive officer.

HWI’s exciting leadership transition news was announced on June 29 at a companywide Town Hall meeting. At the meeting, Delo voiced his support for Jackson by saying, “Carol is natural leader and manufacturing industry veteran, and has played a key role in helping to run the company for the past three years. Her outstanding performance at HWI, along with a proven track record of success and prior significant leadership roles, all reinforced the Board’s unanimous agreement in this transition plan. HWI is in talented, capable hands.”

As Carol noted to employees during the Town Hall meeting, she and the entire leadership team are intensely focused on building on the strong foundation created over the past three years, and supporting HWI’s customers’ business with an unwavering commitment to the company mission of being the “first and only call for industry.”
