GUNTECH Gun Mixes
GUNTECH 60, our new 60% alumina gun mix, has successfully accomplished our goal of developing a new product focused on gunning characteristics. We are confident that GUNTECH 60 is a quality gun mix that will install reliably and as good as, or better than, competitive materials in the market place.
Feedback from field installations has been very positive. GUNTECH 60 will take the place of other 60% gun mixes in the portfolio.
Key Attributes include:
Low rebound (<15%)
No pre-dampening
On-line performance
High strength – HMOR @ 2000F = 2700 psi; CCS after 1500F = 8000 psi
Good abrasion resistance (10 cc loss average)
GUNTECH products will become the new standard for gunning technology at HWI. We have now launched GUNTECH 60Z and will be launching a GUNTECH 60AR and GUNTECH 65AL in the near future.
