HarbisonWalker International Announces New Senior Director, Operations

PITTSBURGH, PA – June 28, 2017 – HarbisonWalker International (HWI), the largest supplier of refractory products and services in the U.S, announces that Gildas Dupouy has joined the company’s Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Group as senior director, Operations, effective April 3, 2017.

In this role, Dupouy is responsible for the monolithic and precast operations at several of the company’s 17 manufacturing plants in North America including the Sproul, Oak Hill, Smithville, Minerva, Thomasville, Acton, and Pryor plants, as well as HWI’s new state-of-the-art monolithic refractories manufacturing facility under construction at The Point Industrial Park in South Point, Lawrence County, Ohio. Dupouy also has manufacturing responsibility for the international monolithic plants in Monterrey, Bromborough, and Cilegon.

Dupouy has a strong manufacturing background, in both the US as well as overseas, including both plant and regional management experience. He was most recently with Imerys, as the director of operations for its Carbonates Division in North America. Prior to that, he was the industrial director for Imerys’ Calderys Division in Europe. Dupouy holds a Master’s degree in general engineering from ECAM Lyon University in France.
