HWI Develops Production Capability of Larger Pressed Shapes
HarbisonWalker International (HWI) is pleased to announce that recent development work with our GREENLITE-HS brand has resulted in the production capability of larger pressed sizes for use in glass furnace sub-paving insulation designs. Our Vandalia, MO, USA manufacturing facility can now press up to a 24” x 24” x 4” brick in this brand to compliment the 9” x 4.5” x 3” and smaller sizing already produced at our Acton, ON, CAN plant.
Newer design furnaces are being constructed with the requirement for large insulating blocks beneath the fireclay layer has increased. HWI has answered this demand by offering an alternative to our proven GREENLITE DC. GREENLITE-HS can achieve a faster lead-time and can be more economical than the casting option of the GREENLITE DC.
Available standard imperial unit sizes are listed below:
24” x 24” x 4”
24” x 24” x 3”
24” x 12” x 4”
24” x 12” x 3”
12” x 12” x 4”
12” x 12” x 3”
Metric sizes are available as well.
