Carol Jackson

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Carol is committed to delivering on HWI’s mission and achieving its vision of being the first and only call for industry. She has served in this leadership role since 2017 and, before that, Carol was Senior Vice President and General Manager at HWI, responsible for commercial operations globally. She has over twenty-five years of progressive experience in building global businesses. Prior to joining HWI in 2014, Carol served as Vice President of the bar, wire, and strip business units of Carpenter Technology Corporation. She also progressed through numerous roles at PPG Industries, where she was ultimately Director of Global Raw Materials Purchasing. In 2019, Carol was elected to the Board of Directors of Sensient Technologies Corporation (NYSE: SXT) and elected as President of the World Refractories Association (WRA). She served a two-year term as WRA’s first North American leader. In 2020, she was elected to the Board of Directors of AZZ, Inc. (NYSE: AZZ) and just recently assumed the position of chair of the company’s Nominating and Governance Committee. Carol has a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University, an MBA (MSIA) from Carnegie Mellon University, and a juris doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Michael Werner

Senior Vice President, Commercial and Corporate Officer

As Senior Vice President, Commercial, Mike focuses on all sales and marketing activities, value added services offerings, international growth and distribution and retail sales efforts. Most recently, Mike led global commercial operations for Loparex, the leading global manufacturer of specialty coated release films and papers serving a range of industries. Previously, Mike spent 20 years at GE Plastics and Sabic in numerous domestic and global roles, where he progressed to become Product General Manager. He began his career at Monsanto as an engineer in Technical Development and as a manager of Business Development in the thermoplastic elastomer business. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer Science from Pennsylvania State University.

Mike possesses a results-driven mindset and an intense desire to make positive contributions everyday.

Ross Wilkin

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Treasurer

As Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Treasurer, Ross is dedicated to the financial responsibilities of the company, and oversees all areas of financial reporting, general accounting, tax, treasuring and IT. Ross came from Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., where he served as chief financial officer. Before his role at Universal Stainless, he was chief financial officer at Dynamics, Inc. Much of Ross’ career was spent with H.J. Heinz Company, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility. After progressing in various roles in Heinz North America, he became vice president and CFO for the company’s Australia and New Zealand business unit. Ross began his finance career at KPMG, serving both in Toronto, Canada and in Cleveland, Ohio. A graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Ross is a CPA in both Canada and the USA.

Ross’ expertise and proven track record in the manufacturing sector will support initiatives across the company and ultimately benefit our customers.

Brad Cramer

Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer

As Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer, Brad provides advice and counsel to HWI’s executive management and the board of directors and oversees all legal and compliance matters for HWI’s domestic and international locations.

A commercial attorney with more than 20 years of experience in a large law firm and global corporate legal departments, Brad spent much of his career as in-house counsel with United States Steel Corporation, including a multi-year international assignment as Assistant General Counsel for its European business segment. Earlier in his career, Brad clerked for the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and was an associate at a large litigation defense firm. He earned his Juris Doctorate at the Duquesne University School of Law, where he served as Research Editor for the Law Review.

Brad’s insightful counsel drives decisions and results across the entire company, benefitting both customers and employees.
