We are excited to welcome aboard the newest members of HWI, our 2025 FIRE Class, Emma Borton, Brad Matheson, and Lydia Schultz!
Emma, a mechanical engineering graduate, will begin as a manufacturing process engineer in our White Cloud, Michigan manufacturing facility. Brad, also in mechanical engineering, will start out as a 3D scanning engineer, while Lydia, a chemical engineer, joins as an application specialist for steel foundries.
The HWI FIRE Program is a cornerstone of our talent development strategy, offering a 15-month rotational experience across areas like Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, and R&D. Participants gain real-world experience, mentorship, and leadership skills. FIRE was created to strengthen our talent by providing opportunities to contribute across HWI business and operations disciplines. This program provides promising graduates with challenging developmental assignments designed to quickly build new skills and contribute to the organization, taking part in complex projects, receiving on-the-job training, learning our business while building their network throughout our organization.
