Safe.Day 2025: Strengthening our Global Health & Safety Culture

September 26, 2025 – Today, employees and contractors across the Calderys Group are taking part in the third edition of safe.day. For a few hours, operations are paused at sites and offices worldwide to put the spotlight on what matters most: the health and safety of our people and everyone involved in our activities.

This year’s theme, “Be a Safety Guide,” emphasizes the role each of us plays in setting the standard, encouraging safe habits, and looking out for one another.

“At Calderys, safety is part of our DNA, and our teams play a vital role in it. It’s the foundation of how we work, how we lead, and how we care for one another. That’s why we pause our daily routines today to focus on what truly matters: our health, our safety, and the safety of each other.”
Michel Cornelissen, President & CEO, Calderys Group

A day dedicated to safety

Across the globe, colleagues are participating in activities designed to strengthen our safety culture, including:

  • A kickoff video message from Calderys leadership.
  • Interactive workshops on topics such as risk prevention, fatigue, addiction, and site-specific challenges.
  • A new global safety contest, testing knowledge and awareness across sites worldwide.
  • A dedicated internal webinar for employees unable to join on site.

Building on the safe. program

Safe.day is part of the Calderys group safe. program, launched in 2023 to build a unified safety culture across the Group. Its four guiding pillars are: Safety First, Advancing Communication, Fostering Collaboration, and Encouraging Ownership.

Safe.Day 2025 reinforces our commitment to making safety a shared responsibility — every day, everywhere.
