Ladles are used in every foundry. They are a bucketlike, refractory-lined container used for transferring, holding, pouring, desulfurizing, and alloying molten metal. HarbisonWalker International offers products for a range of processes, including steel and alloys, iron transfer and inoculation, and iron pouring. These products include the VERSAFLOW® 70 product family, which offers high hot strength and excellent abrasion resistance; DOSSOLITE 1400–72 lining, which is often applied to help extend the life of the castable lining; and PLASTECH® 70P, which can be used for repairs that also help extend the life of the lining.
