HarbisonWalker International Promotes Legal, Human Resources Executives

Moon Township, Pennsylvania – April 18, 2018 – HarbisonWalker International (HWI) announced today that Brad Cramer, formerly Senior Director, General Counsel, has been promoted to Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer. Judy Weisseg, formerly Senior Director, Human Resources, has been promoted Vice President, Human Resources. HWI is the largest supplier of refractory products and services in the United States.

Brad Cramer
Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer, HWI
Brad Cramer joined HWI in 2015, and since then has demonstrated extraordinary professionalism and legal competency. His leadership has elevated the HWI Law Department’s value and contributions in providing timely, practical, and strategic counsel to all its clients across the organization. Before joining HWI, Brad was commercial counsel to United States Steel Corporation, where he advised and counseled several internal clients, and had a three-year assignment with the company’s Central European operations from 2008 to 2011. His last assignment with U. S. Steel was in the role of interim General Counsel of U. S. Steel Košice, in Eastern Slovakia, in 2015.

Before his time at U. S. Steel, Brad served as Senior Attorney and Assistant Corporate Secretary of CN/Great Lakes Transportation. Prior to moving to his in-house counsel positions, Brad was an associate at a large litigation defense firm in Pittsburgh and held two Judicial Clerkships with Judge Joseph Del Sole and Judge Patrick Tamilia of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

Brad is a licensed attorney in the state of Pennsylvania, having earned his Juris Doctorate from the Duquesne University School of Law, where he served as Research Editor for the Duquesne Law Review. His undergraduate degree in Psychology was also earned at Duquesne University.
Brad is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the National Association of Corporate Directors, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Judy Weisseg
Vice President, Human Resources, HWI
At HWI, Judy Weisseg has demonstrated exemplary expertise and service in Human Resources for almost 20 years. She is responsible for strategy and execution across all areas of human resources including benefits, compensation, employment, employee relations, labor relations, training and development, and HR’s information systems.

She joined HWI in 1999 as Director of Compensation and Benefits. Since then, she has progressed through several HR roles to become the top Human Resources executive for our almost 1,700 employees. Under Judy’s leadership, HWI has completely restructured and updated virtually all aspects of its human resources products and services for employees. HWI has also been named “Healthiest Employer in Western PA” for five consecutive years by the Pittsburgh Business Times Journal. Before coming to HWI, Judy was the Director of Compensation and Associate Benefits at Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio. Her career also includes HR roles at Federated Investors and the Western Pennsylvania Hospital.

Judy earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Case Western University and her MBA, with a concentration in Labor and Human Resources Management, at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She is a DiSC Certified Facilitator, a faculty member for the Wellness Council of America, a Functional Medicine Certified Coach, and she serves on the Butler County Family YMCA Board of Managers. She’s also been active with the Girl Scouts and is an Ironman triathlete.
