Refractory-lined circulating fluidized bed reactors operating at 1900°F will generate heat, steam, and electric power to run ethanol plants. Cookers heat an aqueous mash of corn and other grain additives with enzymes to reduce bacteria levels prior to the start of fermentation to ultimately create an alcohol hydrocarbon called ethanol. These cookers are heated by the steam from boilers using the heat from refractory-lined circulating fluidized bed reactors.
ON-LINE® 60G AR, a dense, dry gunning mix for circulating fluidized bed reactor linings, offers exceptional resistance to alkali attack during reactor operation. A high placement speed of 300 pounds per minute will help minimize unit downtime during a plant maintenance outage.
HPV® 110 GUN MIX is a dense, dry gunning mix for circulating fluidized bed reactors. It offers exceptional abrasion resistance together with a lower shell temperature due to its moderate density of 110 pounds per cubic foot.
KALA®, a dense, 50 percent alumina fireclay brick for circulating fluidized bed reactor refractory linings, will resist the 1900°F operating temperature, alkali attack from process chemistries, and hot abrasion. KALA® brick linings are more tolerant of radical changes in weather conditions during installation. We produce hundreds of different brick shapes at multiple production sites to meet your changing needs.
