HWI Participating in API Spring Refining & Equipment Standards Meeting

May 20, 2024 / Events

HWI is excited to once again participate in the 2024 Spring Refining and Equipment Standards Meeting, taking place this week in St. Louis, Missouri.

Participation in the Refining & Equipment Standards Meeting is an invaluable opportunity to be a part of how the U.S. petroleum industry develops and maintains state-of-the-art standards. The development of consensus standards is one of API’s oldest and most successful programs, covering over 800 standards for all segments of the oil and natural gas industry. The Committee on Refining Equipment, CRE, is responsible for approximately 200 standards, including many that form the basis of the API Inspection Program.

HWI is a member of the American Petroleum Institute (API) Refractory Products Group, and has supplied brick gasifier linings to this industry in North America, Europe, and East Asia for over 30 years. Because we understand just how these processes work, our dedicated application specialists offer unparalleled solutions to extend the service life of the refractories and the process units, as our research engineers conduct ongoing research on the best refractory solutions as processes and industry standards evolve.

Stop by and visit with Application specialist Danny Starr, marketing manager Chris Hersh, and business development manager Mike Vanderwater to discuss how how with the right mix of high heat refractory products and technology, HWI, a member of Calderys, has one of the best operations in the world to deliver the products our customers need, when they need them.
