Forge furnaces are reheat furnaces that heat solid metal to varying temperatures before it is placed into a forge press. The furnaces consist of a car deck where metal is placed. The floor, roof, and walls are lined with different refractories such as brick, castable, and ceramic fiber. Most furnaces are heated with natural gas. HWI products for car decks include VERSAFLOW® 45 C PLUS and VERSAFLOW® 70 C PLUS due to their impact and abrasion resistance.
